Overview

I was recently contacted by the staff of the University of Maryland Rehabilitation & Orthopaedic Institute Adapted Sports Program inquiring whether I would shoot their upcoming 10th Annual Adapted Sports Festival.  I was heading out of the country very early the next morning, but I thought I could fit it in.

This event, which occurred on September 28, 2019, included opportunities for R&OI patients and community members to participate in the following activities.

• Adapted Dance / Zumba
• Adapted Golf
• Bocce Ball
• Cycling
• Ping Pong
• Rock Wall Climbing
• Sit Volleyball
• Track & Field
• Wheelchair Rugby
• Wheelchair Slalom
• Wheelchair Tennis
• Wheelchair Fencing

In addition, the event featured a talk by keynote speaker Ann Cody, a three-time member of the U.S. Paralympic Team.
